Question: We started the Lifestyle together many years ago. We've met several wonderful people, some not so wonderful, and then we met B & T. We started spending more and more time with them, and we see them on a regular basis. Our kids play together, we grill out together, and we spend the weekends in our pool or their boat. We started out as "girls play, boys watch," then went to same room only swap, and now we have done separate swap for the last year or so. We have always gotten along easily and comfortably without any drama whatsoever. The other night, my boyfriend told T he was in love with her! I didn't know what to say, because three weeks ago B told me the same thing. I am so confused. I have known I was in love with B (and T) for awhile now, and I am pretty sure T feels the same way. On one hand, I'm upset, on the other I'm relieved, and I'm asking myself: "Is this normal?" Answer: Normal? Of course it is. You've spent several intimate years with people you have built a deep connection with outside of the bedroom. This is the fastest growing trend in the Lifestyle right now, and when you think about it, it makes perfect sense. Human beings are not machines with an on/off switch. Many Florida swingers have gone through, or are going through the same thing that each of you is going through. The only thing that is problematic here, is that your email to us read like none of you are talking about it. Here's the real deal: You can have your cake and eat it, too. You have created a no drama multi-love relationship. Your lifestyle experience - everything from common Lifestyle Rules such as "no means no" and "no drama" - have prepared you for a polyamorous relationship. Many people confuse polyamory with polygamy or some requirement that everyone live under the same roof. The relationships are a varied as the people. In your case, it sounds like you are Poly Lifestyle - multi-love, with a Lifestyle twist. Florida Social is a swingers club that respects diversity of Lifestyle choices, including polyamory and Poly Lifestyle people. Non-sexual affection, open and honest communication, and a willingness to be patient are essential, whatever your preferences.. |
